Artist Lara Cornell lives in Minneapolis with her family. Her career has been built around her love of travel and meeting artisans all over the world. She hosted retreats in Europe, and she had a collaborative art space near her home. Like many, her travel abruptly ended, and she closed her brick-and-mortar space. Instead, Lara took time to educate herself on business skills and how creatives can improve their marketing, branding, and focus. She ultimately wrote a book, and it recently launched and has already become a best-seller. We talk about her book and how she can help other creatives.

The world needs more sustainable brands—brands that are purpose driven, socially responsible, environmentally conscious, and ethically sound; brands that will be around for years to come because they're built on values instead of trends; brands that give back to society as much as they take from it; brands people can trust.
Artisan & Company helps companies create sustainable brands that make a difference with their business. We help them build successful businesses by creating an impact-driven brand that stands out in the crowd and creates a meaningful connection with customers.
Presented by Artisan & Company Founder and CEO Lara Cornell.
I (Robert) get a chance to dig more into who Lara is as both an artist and a coach, and how she has come to offer the services she does, which combine the art of business with the creative mindset to help you become an #ArtisanCEO.

Join Lara Cornell and Tami Macala on this YouTube video for a very engaging and informative art talk on creating a sustainable art practice and legacy by using materials that are better for our environment and planet.
Lara will share ways to see certain art materials differently and help us create an awareness we can use in our daily art practice, no matter what type of creator you are. Lara Cornell supports artisans to build fulfilling, sustainable, regenerative businesses that make an impact and are good for the planet.
Lara has created The Sustainable Artisan Guild. A community of artisans who are looking to incorporate more sustainable and planet-friendly practices into all aspects of their business (and lives). It’s not about being ‘perfect’ and having all the answers. Instead, it is about a desire to do better and having the resources to make conscious and informed decisions. Think about all of the artisans in the world … potters, ceramicists, painters, leatherworkers, woodworkers, textile designers, etc…. there are A LOT of us all over the world. And if we all take even small steps toward a more sustainable practice, we can make a big difference for ourselves, our communities, and future generations.
